DANCE FOR HAITI!!! - RESCHEDULED... for Sunday, March 14th.

Various local groups will be performing to raise money for Haiti.  Dance for Haiti will take place at the Bellport High School (205 Beaver Dam Road off of South Country Road..Brookhaven, New York) on Sunday, March 14th from 1:30-3:30pm!

COSTUMES HAVE BEEN ARRIVING EVERY DAY.  TEACHERS HAVE BEGUN PREPARING AND TEACHING CHOREOGRAPHY FOR OUR BIG PRODUCTION. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ATTENDANCE IS AS GOOD AS IT CAN BE 

WE WILL SEND COSTUMES HOME WITH YOUR CHILDREN AS SOON AS THE SHIPMENTS COME IN ANDACCOUNT BALANCES (TUITION AND COSTUME) ARE PAID IN FULL.  PLEASE KEEP ALL PIECES TOGETHER.COSTUMES ARE NOT REPLACEABLE.

STAGE DOOR 34^th ANNUAL RECITAL “Take the Floor” The show will be held June 18TH and 19TH at the Staller Center for the Arts at Stony Brook University.

WE MUST CLOSE OUR BOOKS FOR 2009.  ALL TUITION FOR PAST MONTHS AND FEBRUARY TUITION MUST BE PAID BY FEBRUARY 15^TH.  ANY PAYMENTS MADE AFTER THEN WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED WITH A LATE FEE OF $10 FOR EACH MONTH THAT IS PAST DUE.

Dear Students, Families and Friends,

As the year comes to a close, we look back at an exceptional year here at Stage Door.  We entered into our second year at the new location & I can’t tell you how happy it makes me feel to see all of you running into your classes, enthusiastic to learn more and more.  I am so grateful to my office staff & teachers.  Know that you’re in good hands with people who really care about you and your dance experience. Our little ones to our adults are all very important to the growth & welfare of our studio. 

Recently, we entered a regional competition. It was great day for us!  Congratulations to our Dance Company who received trophies and numerous awards for High Scoring and special recognition for choreography. Congratulations to all dancers and Miss Marissa, Miss Tara, Miss Nuala, Miss Stephanie, Miss Jessica & Miss Mary.  

We will be OPEN for all classes during the month of January including Martin Luther King Day, Monday January 18.

1^ST Annual Talent Show-BRAVO BRAVO!

We also enjoyed a FABULOUS TALENT SHOW. The students were fantastic and the show went very smoothly and was enjoyed by everyone. Coffee, juice and donuts were served after the show.  Toys and $ donations were collected and sent off to Toys for Tots.  Thank you so much for your generosity. We look forward to this show becoming an ANNUAL EVENT.  Special thanks to Miss Carole & Joe Skelly for their HELP!

 STAGE DOOR RECITAL: “TAKE THE FLOOR”.  To be held at the Staller Center at Stony Brook University. Dates are June 18^th & 19^th.  If you take one class per week you will be in one show.  That show will be contingent on creating each show with great variety and levels.  If you take more than one class, know that we are aware of that and we try very very hard to accommodate each and every family.  Unfortunately, that is not always possible. We TRY.

STUDIO NEWS!   Mr. G. & I were so PROUD to see Miss Mary (our daughter) performing on the Broadway Stageagain this year in “White Christmas” at the Marriot Marquis Theater in NYC.  When she finishes the show she will resume her teaching at here at Stage Door.  She has also been hired to train the future young tap stars in preparation of going into “Billy Elliot” The Tony Award winning Broadway Show.  WOW! You go girl!!!! Miss Stephanie is working on choreographing “FAME” for the Bellport High School Musical Production in February.   Miss Jessica is Coaching the High School Dance Team.  Miss Nuala has been traveling around the country giving Dance Workshops and Adjudicating Competitions.  Danielle Pearson ‘08 was accepted to the Arizona State Dance Department. Miss Missy Sybil (former student and teacher) is now in Radio City Musical Hall Christmas kicking up her heels as a “ROCKETTE”. This is her 4^th year. YEAH! Our 2009-10 Scholarship winner, Kaylee Torre will be performing at Patchogue Medford H.S. production of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.”

COSTUME DEPOSITS & TUITION PAYMENTS ARE DUE JANUARY 16, 2010.

All recital costumes have been ordered. Accessory Sheets with information regarding “balance due” will be handed out soon. Costumes will not be distributed until all of your outstanding tuition payments are paid and up to date. Some costumes will be arriving soon and we would like to distribute them as soon as they arrive! PLEASE SEND IN THE BALANCE (tax and shipping & handling are included in balance due)  *Please keep Costume Balance checks separate from Tuition checks*

TUITION PAYMENTS are always due the first dance class of the month. Please include your payment coupon with your cash, check, or credit card. Please comply with this request to avoid late charges.
