Competition Panel Days 2025 – Meet the Panelists!

Each year, Stage Door School of Dance brings the industry’s best to our studio for an exclusive weekend of professional critique, mentorship, and training. Our Competition Panel Weekend is a unique opportunity for SDSD’s competitive dancers to receive expert feedback from top Broadway, TV/Film, and professional dance artists before taking the stage at competition.

This two-day event features:

  • SDSD Crew Panel Review (March 1, 2025) – A dedicated session where elite industry panelists provide valuable critiques to our SDSD Crew dancers.
  • SDSD Elite Company Workshops (March 2, 2025) – A full morning of exclusive workshop classes taught by our guest artists.
  • SDSD Elite Company & SDSD Select Program Panel Review (March 2, 2025)  – A live performance review with expert panel feedback.

With an incredible lineup of industry professionals, this experience is designed to elevate our dancers’ artistry, technique, and performance quality. Let’s introduce you to each of our esteemed guest artists!

MELANIE MOORE was last seen across the country as Scout Finch on the first national tour of Aaron Sorkin’s Broadway adaptation of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. Her Broadway credits include: Hello Dolly! (Ermengarde), Fiddler on the Roof (Chava), Finding Neverland (Peter Pan). She was also seen off-Broadway in New York City Center’s Encores! A Chorus Line(Judy), Al Blackstone’s Freddie Falls in LoveCheek to CheekchekhovOS/ an experimental game/ and more. Some of her tv/ film credits include: FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance(Season 8 Winner and Allstar), HBO’s The Gilded Age (Sally Drexel), Netflix’s Halston, ABC’s The Little Mermaid Live (Daughter of Triton), 20th Century Fox’s In The Heights, FOX’s Glee, ABC’s Dancing With The Stars and more.

RYAN MARRERO was born in the Boogie Down Bronx where Hip Hop all started. He’s trained in various styles of Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Salsa, & Caribbean movement. Ryan has trained between South Florida and New York while growing up allowing him to intertwine various cultures into his style of movement. Ryan founded his own Latin Fusion Entertainment by the name of Calle Fuego touring around the world entertaining clients for Live Events, Cruise Ships, and commercial work. Ryan has worked with Jennifer Hudson, Justina Valentine, Deborah Cox, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Sony, Saturday Night Live & more.  He is also fluid in choreography on various types of productions, movement direction, and live event creative direction. Ryan is currently signed with McDonald Selznick Associates and professionally dancing throughout New York City.

JASON LUKS is a New York based performer, choreographer and educator. He is currently on faculty with NYCDA teaching tap, Steps on Broadway, at the Joffrey Ballet School teaching Musical Theater, and the Artistic Director of The Dance Academy of North Jersey in NJ. He was a member of the “Falsettos” Broadway choreography team as an SDCF Observer and went on to assist choreographer Josh Prince and Pulitzer Prize winning director James Lapine on the choreography for “Mrs. Miller Does Her Thing.”

Jason’s performance credits include the Broadway cast of “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas”, “On The Town” (Barrington Stage), “My One And Only” (Stages St. Louis), Tap Stars (international tour), Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Late Show with James Corden, The Who Was Show, and MTV’s Video Music Awards. Jason’s choreography has been presented at the Kennedy Center, Symphony Space NYC, Ailey Citigroup Theater, University of Richmond and the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Jason graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance.

MELISSA STERN was born and raised on Long Island, NY, and began dancing at the age of five, training at Stage Door School of Dance. After graduating high school, she attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh as a ballet major. Melissa went on to perform as a Rockette for eight years in New York City, as well as in St. Louis, MO, and Columbus, OH. During her time as a Rockette, she performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the nationally televised 75th Anniversary of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. She has also performed at numerous regional theaters, including The Gateway Playhouse in New York, The Ogunquit Theater in Maine, The John W. Engeman Theater in New York, Reagle Music Theater of Greater Boston, and The Palace Theater in Stamford.

SEAN QUINN has been a performer in New York for over fifteen years.  He has been lucky enough to assist 4-time Tony nominee Randy Skinner on multiple productions including many years with the Broadway Tour of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. He also assisted on the off broadway production of Cheek to Cheek at the York Theatre and the world premier of the musical Perfect Picture starring Tony award winner Lillias White.  Aside from his work with Randy, he was seen in the NYC premiere of Sugar Babies:Back on Broadway starring Tony winners Beth Leavel and Michael McGrath with choreography by Tony nominee Denis Jones. He toured internationally with Cinderella starring Tony winner Lea Salonga and is featured on the cast album. Other tours include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Andre) and Joseph…Dreamcoat(Simeon). Regionally Sean has performed at the Papermill Playhouse, North Shore Music theatre, Stages St Louis, The Gateway Playhouse and others. When not performing, he serves on the faculty of The New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts in NYC.

CULLEN TITMAS has appeared on Broadway in Sting’s The Last Ship and toured the country extensively in the first national tours of The Bridges of Madison County (Bud), Billy Elliot (Tony), and Avenue Q (Nicky/Trekkie), continuing that track when Avenue Q re-opened Off-Broadway. He originated the role of Marlin in Finding Nemo, the Musical at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Some favorite NYC and regional productions include the pre-Broadway run of WAITRESS at The American Repertory Theatre, The Unsinkable Molly Brown at the MUNY, John and Jen, AIDA (Radames), Footloose (Ren), Forever Plaid (Sparky), and the title role in Adam Guettel’s Floyd Collins. His television credits include Person of Interest, The Americans, Ray Donovan, and FBI: Most Wanted. Cullen is also a proud member of the leadership team at SDSD.
