SDSD Crew

• All dancers ages 5-17 years old
• All skill levels welcome

Classes begin September 4, 2025.  

• Kinder Jazz/Hip Hop – Ages 5-6: Perfect for our youngest competitive dancers who want to experience the excitement of dance competitions in a supportive, age-appropriate environment. This crew introduces kindergarten dancers to teamwork and performance skills through fun jazz and hip hop routines.
• Liberty/Carnegie Jazz – Ages 6-10: Designed for young dancers ready to explore the technical precision and expressive artistry of jazz dance in a competitive setting. This crew focuses on building foundational technique while developing confidence through engaging age-appropriate choreography.
• Rockefeller Jazz – Ages 11-13: For pre-teen and early teen dancers ready to showcase intermediate-level jazz technique and performance quality. This crew develops sophisticated movement skills while fostering individual artistry and competitive excellence.
• Empire Jazz – Ages 14-17: Our most advanced jazz crew for high school dancers preparing for post-graduation dance opportunities. This crew develops professional-level technique and performance quality through challenging, high-level choreography.
• Liberty/Carnegie Hip Hop – Ages 6-10: For young dancers who love high-energy movement and urban dance styles in a competitive setting. This crew emphasizes rhythm, basic hip hop techniques, and creative expression through fun, age-appropriate routines.
• Rockefeller/Empire Hip Hop – Ages 11-17: Designed for older dancers who thrive on contemporary urban dance styles and competitive performance. This crew builds advanced hip hop techniques, attitude, and individual expression through dynamic choreography.
• Liberty/Carnegie Tap – Ages 6-10: Perfect for young dancers who love the percussive rhythms and intricate footwork of tap dance. This crew develops foundational musicality, timing, and technical tap skills through engaging choreography and competitive experiences.
• Rockefeller/Empire Tap – Ages 11-17: For advanced tap dancers ready to showcase sophisticated rhythmic complexity and technical precision. This crew focuses on high-level tap technique and musicality through challenging competitive routines.
• SDSD weDance – Ages 5-17: A groundbreaking competitive opportunity specifically designed for differently-abled dancers across all age groups. This inclusive crew ensures every dancer can experience the joy of competition and teamwork in a supportive, adaptive environment.

Dancers who CHOOSE to participate will be placed in a dance team by age.

Two Crew Classes, Requirements (4 classes total):

• Your age “Jazz Crew”, “Hip Hop Crew”, or “Tap Crew”

Three Crew Classes, Requirements (5 classes total):

Each group will have a competition dance, 1 rehearsal outside of classroom time, and attend 2 dance competitions in 2024.

Stage Door School of Dance’s SDSD Crew Program, is an open-enrollment competitive dance team program for ALL dancers who wish to compete. No audition required. We are absolutely thrilled to now introduce our SDSD weDance Crew, a competitive dance opportunity for differently-abled dancers.
