Are you seeking the ultimate SDSD experience? Are you looking for a more professional level of training and dance opportunities? Then auditioning to become a member of SDSD’s Elite Company could be the perfect opportunity for you!

SDSD’s Elite Company is composed of 5 levels, only filled with our strongest, most trained dancers seeking true professional development. The program provides our most serious dancers an opportunity to excel as dance technicians, performers, and artists.

More SDSD Elite Company Information

  • Dancers ages 6-18 years old that have displayed commitment and high skill levels in all genres, who have also been selected by Stage Door School of Dance based on a rigorous audition process.
  • A position within the Elite Company must be earned annually. There is no guarantee a dancer will be placed within the Elite Company after previously dancing within the company the year prior.
  • Auditions open to all dancers.
  • Dancers selected for the Elite Company will be placed within one of five groupings based on age and ability.
  • Each Company will participate in 4 local dance competitions.
  • SDSD Elite Company dancers will be enrolled in 6 mandatory classes per week.
    • 6 Elite Co. Exclusive Classes
      • Classes will be composed of Elite Company dancers within their age and ability range only and not open to the public. Genres included are Tap, Jazz, Leap & Turn, Ballet Technique, Ballet Repertoire and 1 Competitive Elective Class Choice (Lyrical, Modern or Hip Hop).
    • Additional Elective Classes Available
      • Additional Elective Class Genres available are Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, Pre-Pointe, Pointe, BDC/Steps Choreography Class, Strength & Conditioning and Stretch.
  • Competition Small Group Program (solos, duets, trios, quartets, quintets)
  • Holiday and 4th of July Parades

  • Competition and Recital Production Number

  • Dancer Evaluations Reports and Teacher Feedback Sessions

  • Blue Line (beginner level)
  • Green Line (beginner / int. level)
  • Yellow Line (intermediate level)
  • Orange Line (intermediate / advanced level)
  • Red Line (advanced level)

Please note: SDSD Elite Company line placement is based on a combination of dancer age, dancer skill level, and years of  dance education experience. There is no guarantee to be placed on an Elite Company Line solely based on your age, or prior SDSD Elite Company, SDSD Select Program, or SDSD Crew experience. Dancer’s SDSD Elite Company placement is at the discretion of our Studio Owner, Director, SDSD Elite Company, and Stage Door School of Dance Faculty.
