Patchogue Holiday Parade 2021

Another spectacular parade performance at the #PatchogueHolidayParade. What an incredible evening full of fun, music, lights, cheering, and dancing!!

Stage Door School of Dance is very excited to announce that we have been awarded the “Most Holiday Spirit” trophy for our incredible parade performance and float!

We cannot thank Ms. Stephanie Vertichio enough for her incredible direction of the SDSD parade performance. From concept to choreography, everything you see begins with her inspiring creativity. As our studio grows, so does the scale of our annual performance. Thank you, Ms. Stephanie, you are an incredible teacher, artist, choreographer, and human!!

We’d also like to thank our entire parade float team who selflessly take time out of their own lives to take Ms. Stephanie’s vision and bring it to life each year. From building, to painting, to decorating, everything you see on the float represents countless hours in the cold, just to ensure everything is perfect! Our float crew is comprised completely of volunteer SDSD parents, some who continue to dedicate themselves to this project even after their dancers have graduated!

Thank you to Ms. Kim Lavery, our costume director, who always leaves the crowd ‘ooooo’ing and ‘ahhh’ing once they see our dancers in costume, tapping their way down Main Street!

Finally, and most importantly, thank you to our dancers. We are so incredibly #SDSDproud of each you. To see the joy, pride, and passion in your faces as you share your art with the community is more priceless than we could ever tell you. Don’t ever lose that same sparkle in your eyes. Continue to shine your lights, as that’s what guides so many and brings so much joy to all who need it!

Happy Holidays, from everyone here at Stage Door School of Dance!!
