Ashley Long grew up on Long Island. She began dancing very young and has experience working as a Dance Team coach. While attending St. Joseph’s College to earn her bachelors degree in Child Study, Ashley also served as the college Dance Club President. Ashley also holds a masters degree from St. Joseph’s College in Early Childhood Special Education. She has worked as a special education teacher on Long Island for the past 14 years. Her passions for dancer, education and creating an environment of inclusion for all are a perfect combination for spearheading our weDance program. Ashley was one of the leading founders of weDance (formerly DanceAbility) and has played a vital role in its success and growth over the past 14 years. As our weDance director, she enjoys creating an environment for our students, teachers and volunteers, which fosters positive relationships, continuous opportunities for success, and the building of self esteem. This school year, Ms. Ashley is also leading our brand new weDance Crew. She is excited to share all of the amazing things happening in weDance with the Long Island dance community.
