Arianna Escobar has loved being on stage for as long as she can remember — primarily in school shows — and began dancing at the age of 11 right here at Stage Door School of Dance focusing primarily in tap and jazz. Growing up in Middle Island, NY, she trained at the studio every week under the amazing Mary Giattino until she graduated from Longwood High School in 2019, where she was an active member of both the theatre department and Longwood’s varsity kickline team. She went on to attend SUNY Cortland and graduated this past May with her B.S. in Early Childhood/Childhood Education with a concentration in Humanities. During her 4 years there, she was a member of SUNY Cortland’s kickline team, and performed at the well known Cortaca Jug football games at both Metlife (2019) and Yankee Stadium (2022). Arianna is now currently pursuing her M.A. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) through SUNY Cortland. Arianna was beyond ecstatic to be welcomed back to Stage Door with open arms when she graduated, and is excited to also be training for the weDance program staff currently. Combining her love for teaching children and her love for dance is a dream come true for her, and she’s thrilled she gets to do it where it all started for her!
